Feed Updates
This feature originated from an account management pain point — customers would contact Pheedo wanting to know why their feed didn't contain the newest items. It was generally a result of the customer using a 3rd party provider on top of Pheedo and their copy wasn't up to date.
Discovery
I conducted interviews, compiled my findings and created a diagram of the system behavior to make sure everyone had a clear understanding of the problem. This enabled us to define a clear objective: Show the customer that we were updating our copy of their feed in a timely fashion.

User Needs
I created a short comic of the user approaching the problem, which enabled me to identify what to focus on — represented in the void of step 3. We needed to make the user confident in the state of their feed starting from a known point in the UI, by showing them enough data to support the displayed status.

Interaction Design
I explored various concepts and developed an interaction model that satisfied the user needs. This process defined the navigation and the information that would need to be displayed on the screen.

Wireframe
I worked through a series of revisions to create a high-fidelity wireframe which would accomplish the users goals. I gave careful attention to labeling with user terminology and not internal jargon.

Results
I performed some simple user testing and iteration of the final design before releasing it. We received lots of positive feedback from the account management team following its release.
